Question about cookbooks

what differences r there btw the same books published in different countries

    Most likely language, cooking temperature expressed in Fahrenheit or Centigrade and units of measure. The latter being in Englsh or metric units. The Brits and Americans, supposedly speaking the same language, will have words that differ for the same items or processes. For example, what we call ground beef may be referred to as minced beef. The first time my Canadian neighbor mentioned the use of minced beef in a recipe I had no idea what had happened to the beef.
