Where to watch NFL games in montreal?

I will be in Montreal during the weekend of 9/16 staying at the W. I'm looking for a bar/restaurant that will have the Giants vs. Tampa game on (game starts at 1pm). I'm not expecting great food, but a decent beer list would be nice.

To Clarify I am more concerned with the TV quality and being able to see/hear the games over the crappy bar food. I'm eating at Au Pied de Cochon later that night, so i am going to want to save my appetite.

Are there bars that have satellite and the NFL package, so I am assured getting the game I want, not just the featured game on national TV?

To see the game shouldn't be a problem at any of the major sports bar places (cage aux sports, station des sports, champs) or even smaller pubs (MacLeans, Peel pub, Ziggy's...)

however, getting the sound for that particular game can prove more difficult, depending on which other games are playing at that moment.

To be absolutely sure that particular Giants game will be on, you can go with Champs at the expense of horrible food. That is one place that will definitely have every game available. They have decent deals on pitchers but the beer list itself isn't great by any stretch of the imagination. Champs is on St. Lawrence just below Rachel.

Also, as mentioned above, Station des Sports on St. Catherine and Fort would probably show it as well.

If the local American affiliate of any of the networks is showing the Giants game (FOX possibly, as CBS usually shows the Patriots), then you can ask for it to be turned on at any pub/resto that has a TV and might have better food.

Station des Sports isn't a bad suggestion-- the beer selection is O.K. (it has mostly major brews on tap, and at $16 for a 4L pitcher, it's not bad). There are a few, one one Ste Catherine St. in the village, the other on Ste Catherine St./Forte. I used to frequent the latter, and it's not bad-- they turn-up the volume of games and usually have 7-8 games going at any one time in different areas of the bar.

Surely, you can see those games at "Champs" on St-Laurent blvd. (call to be certain).

champs is a big no no and huge no for food. Good for tv screens all over the place.
it's all fried stuff and the cheapest nachos on earth. I think the buy a bag open it and put in a plate.

I don' t know of any good pub with good food since bayou on rachel closed.

Didn't Bayou just move down the street? I thought I saw it had relocated next to Chez Le Portugais. Unless I'm very much confused which wouldn't be that surprising.

I heard some of the partners open a bar called bayou but no food there or only sandwiches. Haven't been so don't know if it's a sports bar or not.

Head up to Winnies (sir winston churchill's pub) on crescent. Game w/ sound and football specials all day
