Savannah, ga

Looking for dinner recommendations, not heavy on the fried. Like fresh ingredients. One veggie in the group. NYC foodies.

You can't go wrong with Vic's on the River, The Old Pink House(downstairs is casual and upstairs a bit more dressy) and 700 Drayton. However, if you do want more authentic southern food (yes it will include fried chicken), then Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House . If you go to Mrs. Wilkes then you owe your Vegetarian pal a place to eat on another day. That would be Kayake Kafe on Broughton. Enjoy!

Thanks, I actually just booked Vic's on the river, also Elizabeth's on 37. Two nights Savannah, 4 in Charleston. Staying Kiawah. Flying into charleston, then driving to Savannah. Any recommendations not far from airport, on the way, for light lunch, very casual?

Although it is a franchise, Sam Sneads Restaurant is less then a mile from the airport. However, if you want to have lunch in town before you leave, I like the Crystal Beer Parlor or B Matthews Eatery. I hope this helps!

Thanks, Sue. I am sure I will feel the same about Savannah people! I will check out those threads, today, as I will be down there in two days. Will also look at things to do, as I will be in town for a couple of days as a tourist.

Many, many existing threads you will find by scrolling through this board or doing a search. Some possibilities include Olde Pink House, Eleven10, Garibaldi Cafe, Elizabeth's on 37th.
