Three good dinners

I'm a week late in posting, but I wanted to mention three very good dinners we had last weekend.

One: We went to Fuji (Haddonfield) earlier than usual and arrived before 6, in time for their early-bird special. For $20, you get soup, salad, choice from about 8 excellent entrees, and dessert.
What a bargain! I had to forego some of my favorites here because we all chose the early bird.
My husband's entree was 13 beautiful pieces of sushi; mine was a delicious soft-shelled crab.
We love this place, and wouldn't necessarily try to go early - but what a deal!

Two: We went to Paradiso on Passyunk Avenue; we hadn't been there for quite a while. The food was great. Caution: the appetizers are very large. We were sorry we hadn't shared. Our friend's chicken liver appetizer could have been shared among all four of us.
My entree was Arctic char in an excellent preparation.
Service was pleasant but rather absent-minded. We had to look around for our waitperson.
Other than that, a really good experience. And good drinks!

Three: It was Sunday, and we were at another favorite, Bistro La Minette. Feels like Paris!
On Sunday they offer a $29 prix-fixe dinner of four courses. The rest of the menu is also available, but if you happen to like what's on the special dinner, it's a great bargain. We think the chef is excellent. There is great care to the details. I loved the tomato tart appetizer, and the dessert of cherry clafouté was amazing.

    Sylvia:
You have actually whetted my appetite with Bistrot La Minette. I never heard of it but a thorough perusal of their dinner menu has sold me. I have put it on my list.
    Many thanks.
