Dinner in the North Fork?

We will be staying in the Greenport area. We previoulsy enjoyed Noah's. Seems too late to get into dinner at the North FOrk Table. Other suggestions?

Harborfront Inn. We had a harborview room that was very good. I would highly recommend the hotel. Very nice service, complementary continental breakfast. Only complaint was that our room had two twin beds instead of a king or queen, but we knew that going in, but wanted the harbor view.

Thanks, we'll look at First and South for Sunday! There is a place on Front Street that is out of business next to Billy's BBQ. What was it called? We ate there 2 years ago. Good food, but we've never been rushedout of a restaura t like that.

I agree with you. In my experience North Fork Table is the best dining experience -- both for food as well as low-key but elegant ambiance -- in the area. I've never had a bad meal there.

MNMAD: Would you mind giving details of your meal(s) at First and South? Curious because I am not far from there and always looking for good food!

I've yet to find any place on the far East End that comes close to NorthFork Table for quality. Sad to say, I've had many disappointments.

If you are looking for fancy schmancy try Frisky Oyster or North Fork Oyster Co.
For less fancy waterfront dining check out Blue Canoe which has wonderful food and a fabulous view of the harbor.

Ditto on Luce and Hawkins. It's my favorite NF restaurant. (Although I haven't tried NF Table & Inn....can't afford that with my family..but my oldest son has, and he pronounced L & H as the better restaurant.)

We had a wonderful dinner at Luce and Hawkins recently, very relaxed vibe and terrific food and service.

Luce & Hawkins in Jamesport is excellent and you can eat high (tasting menu) or low (great burger) there.
Also consider taking a ferry to Shelter Island for 18 Bay. Well worth the voyage.
Has anyone been to Jamesport Manor since Intonato left?
