Deep Fried Sticky Dumplings with Minced Pork
I've occasionally ordered these from my local Chinese take-out and I'm kind of madly in love with the texture of the sticky dumpling, but my local Chinese take-out doesn't do particularly good dim sum (they deliver to my house, though, which is an advantage that sometimes can't be beat), so I assume I can get these much better in other places. I can imagine there might be versions with a more flavorful filling, for example, or a slightly less greasy layer on the outer dumpling (though I also recognize that they are deep fried and that some level of greasiness is inevitable), or perhaps different fillings, other than minced pork (not that I have anything against minced pork, you understand).
Anywhere in town that does these particularly well?

Just to clarify, are you talking about "ham sui gok"? Like what's shown on this page:
http://ch3rri-blossoms.blogspot.ca/20...Seems some of the responses are referring to "wor teep" or pot sticker type dumplings.
If it's ham sui gok, it's a very common at most any Cantonese dim sum place. As with any deep fried item, it's best at places where you order off a menu as opposed to carts. If you want a place downtown, Rol San does a good job.
Also a lot of Chinese bakeries have them ready made. This is definitely not ideal for any deep fried food, but if you don't want to sit down for a whole dim sum meal, they are great for a take out snack. For example, Kim Moon Bakery and Furama have it.

There's a place in Markham called Chinese Dumpling House that you might check out. Some information here: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/834434

re: T Long
With so many 'dumpling houses' springing up around the GTA, I still prefer 'Northern Dumpling Kitchen' inside Richmond Hill's Times Square. More flavourful broth inside dumplings, better seasoned fillings ( can taste and smell the aroma of Chinese wine used ), nice thin skin and crispy bottom. Pretty good variety including combo of pork, beef, chicken, seafood with leeks, chives, bok choy...etc.
