Anyone going to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa Polish-American Family Festival this weekend?

    No, but thanks for bringing back an old memory from when I was a kid. My Catholic School would charter 2 buses to take the parishoners there for an annual pilgrimage.

      It is a lovely place. I go there when the fall foliage has peaked for an eyeful of nature and then turn around and enjoy the man-made splendor.
      My favorite memory is of when the shrine was being built. I went there with my mom and my uncle George. My mom slipped upstairs to the organ and played Abide With Me. My uncle George was so worried that we would all get in trouble but nothing was said.

        I may be interested in this, as I want to get as FAR away from the city as possible for the huge concert(s). My question is, the $10 admission fee, does that cover food also, or is food a separate cost?
