Laphet - fermented tea leaves

Are there any markets in Chinatown that sell laphet? Supposedly there was one on Mulberry St. once upon a time, but that doesn't really narrow it down. I know there were issues a while back with carcinogens in the dye in some brands....

Never seen it, but never looked for it either. Your best bet would probably be one of the SE Asian shops - either Asia Market Corp on Mulberry, or Bangkok Center Grocery on Mosco. The owners of BCG speak pretty decent English, too, and are very helpful if they're in.
