One Dinner in Kansas City - No BBQ

Hey hounds, we are here in Kansas City by the convention center downtown and need one more place to eat dinner at tonight. We've done the BBQ rounds, perused a few restaurants in the Power and Light District, and would like something other than BBQ that isn't too expensive <$15/plate. We would have to go by foot or take public transportation to where ever is suggested. If you were downtown where would you go for a tasty meal that won't empty your wallet? Thanks!

If you hit Extra Virgin at happy hour you can get great tapas at a reasonable price. Happy hour is 11:30 am to 6pm.

Tannin Wine Bar, Pizza Bella. Maybe Le Fou Frog at the bar if you go for Happy Hour - 4:30 to 6. Tannin or Pizza Bella would be an easy walk. Enjoy!

It's a bit outside downtown, but Le Fou Frog is terrific (http://www.lefoufrog.com/). Great French food and a quirky environment. Very UN-Kansas City like.

If you're at a hotel you should be able to get a taxi and then perhaps arrange for a pick up later.

I like PizzaBella in the Crossroads district. Wood fired pizza and salads. Simple good food, and not too far from your destination.
