Chicago dessert

My husband and I will be celebrating our 30 year anniversary with dinner at Girl and The Goat, on Wednesday. We would like to meet our children for dessert in the city, after dinner. We have an 5:15pm dinner reservation so we were hoping to make a reservation just for dessert somewhere else.
Any suggestions?

Yes, but only on Fridays and Saturdays, which won't work for this Wednesday request.

Go to TRU, one of our finest restaurants. They offer a dessert tasting menu, and you can get it in the lounge so you don't have to worry about the dress restrictions in the main dining room, where jackets are required for gentlemen. Mention that this is what you're coming for when you make your reservation.

Any ideas on area restrictions? Do you have a need for a reservation?

Hot Chocolate comes to mind right away, but they dont offer reservations for just dessert. Wednesday shouldnt be too bad though, get the kids to get you a table!
