In Search of Mabo Ramen

But not any Mabo Ramen... only Mabo Ramen like the long gone Yokohama Ramen (Gateway and Barrington) served.

Thick, spicy, and oh so good

I've tried many places, but none come even close to replicating the taste.

Anyone know of a place that serves such Mabo Ramen in the Los Angeles area?

Asahi Ramen on Sawtelle.

But for ramen in general, Asahi isn't even in the top 5 within a mile radius.

Kyushu Ramen on Sherman Way west of Sepulvida in Van Nuys has very decent Mabo Ramen.

We like the Mabo Ramen at Foo Foo Tei in Hacienda Heights. it is worth the trip for us though Dommy's Folks live out that way. One note: We like the Curry Ramen much better mostly because the Mabo was very heavy.

I didn't know Yokohama Ramen. The only place I know that makes such ramen is Chin Ma Ya in Little Tokyo.
