A fond farewell to Foong Lin
Foong Lin, probably the best Chinese restaurant in Bethesda for over two decades, will be shutting down as of August 31. Owner Fu has been hoping to open a new restaurant, but nothing has materialized yet.
Fu freely admits he aimed his cooking at American tastes, but was quite capable of producing more "authentic" dishes upon request.
Count me as one who hopes we will see new and better things from Fu in the near future.
