Slow - Berkeley

Robert Lauriston Aug 25, 2012 03:55 PM

Finally got around to trying this place. Order at the counter, they give you a number and you seat yourself.

I had a lamb sandwich ($7.75), good but I should have asked for more of the yogurt-mint sauce, and a side of black-eyed pea salad ($2.75) that was great. Tasted a pulled pork sandwich ($6.50) that was really good, I didn't care for the potato salad ($2.75). Large portions, very reasonable prices for the quality.

The rear patio area shared with New Amsterdam, Oktoberfeast, and Chocolatier Blue (Brasa has its own separate deck) is much improved since the last time I was there. Thriving rose garden is still very much in bloom. Even though it was a cool day with a chilly breeze it was nice there.

Thanks for the reminder. I haven't been in months, and the food is always good. I haven't always loved all the salads (some si, some no) but anything with a meat is typically delicious.
