Very disappointing expensive dinner the other night. NY strip tough, stringy and even mealy in places. Suspect it had been frozen. Duck Crepe ok, shrimp creole sauce average, though shrimp itself was good. Service not great. Won't go back. Bummer.
Had lunch there last week and it was disappointing. Both the turtle soup and the shrimp remoulade tasted "watered down". I ordered Shrimp Clemenceau and it was dry. Not theGalatoire's I loved.
Brobson, as ever, makes a good point. This will be intersting. I think we can predict a more casual environment next door.
I feel like "absolute and total destruction" might be a bit of an exaggeration, but I don't disagree with the general sentiment.
