Fresh Lima Beans

TopoTail Aug 25, 2012 11:16 AM

Charles Shere, who does a fun food blog called Eating Every Day, always writes about fresh lima beans at this time of year. He buys them at the Healdsburg farmers market. I go to many Bay Area farmers market, including the Berkeley, Temescal, and Ferry Plaza markets, but have never seen fresh lima beans. Just got back from today's Ferry Plaza market and again came up empty.

Anyone know where to get fresh lima beans in the East Bay?

I think I saw some at the Berkeley farmers market a few weeks ago. I think I've seen them at Berkeley Bowl in previous years.
