Singapore in Glen Cove

Checked out Singapore in Glen Cove for lunch today after seeing an item on Newday's Feed Me. Disappointing, I think, since I have little to no context on which to gauge the food. Roti Canali was a thin, droopy, greasy pancake with a bowl of utterly bland "curry" dipping sauce with a couple of nuggets of chicken. Also had the Hokkien Chow Mee, a Malaysian specialty described on the menu as thick yellow noodles with heavily flavored soy sauce with pork, chicken, squid and vegetables. Thick noodles yew but it tasted like plain ol' lo mein, not a heavily flavored soy sauce. It was studded with one shrimp, one bite of calamari, a few leaves of Chinese greens and I'm not even sure if there was any pork or chicken in there. Photo shows Hokkien Chow Mee.
