Where can I buy a decent jam-filled swiss roll in Toronto?

I'm making a trifle and it the recipe calls for a jam-filled swiss roll for the cake portion. I don't want some horrible commercial jelly roll filled with preservatives.

I could bake one myself but it seems like a lot of effort for trifle sponge.

Any thoughts on a bakery in the city that makes a swiss roll?

  1. The korean bakery on Yonge/Spring Garden just north of Sheppard has jam-filled swiss roll.

    1. Oh, gosh, I would check out the ingredients for the "cream" if the roll comes with a cream, as most that I have tried are made with some sort of vegetable oil product. I have made trifle on many occasions and always use the soft lady fingers found in grocery store bakery departments, real jam preferably mixed with some yummy fruit liqueur, custard, and real whipped cream, plus whatever fruit is in season and goes together.
