What do you think about Root. I have not been there.
I can't speak from personal experience but a friend just went home for a visit and he went there after I mentioned it. He said it was good but he isn't go to rush back. He went to Sobou the night before and loved it
The chef gets much praise and the restaurant garners good review. My only experience was at the 7 or so course Tales of the Cocktail spirited dinner. Lots of molecular gastronomy presentations. Some worked, while others failed. The dessert led my husband to comment, "Wow, I believe that was the worst dessert I've ever had". It was a rocky road riff with frozen beet marshmallows,, frozen bacon praline and who knows what else. In addition, every protein was overcooked...white tuna, grey lamb, hard, dry rabbit.
