Prune plums in yet?

Has anyone bought prune plums yet this season in Greater Boston, and if so, where?

  1. Market Basket in Chelsea has them for $1.49/lb. But today they were only available in tray packs.

    1. They had some at Stop and Shop in Reading last weekend - can't recall the price per pound but they were loose.

      1. Baza in Newton had them a week and a half ago when I was last in there. I also don't remember the price, but their produce is usually quite reasonable.

        1. I bought some at the Copely farmer's market last Friday. I don't remember the name of the farm, but their stand faces Boylston St., near the Dartmouth-Boylston corner.

          1. We got some from the Brookline farmers market last week.

Yes, Dick's had them at Brookline last week.

Bazaar on Beacon Street in Brookline had them today, 1.89 a pound, and fresh figs were being unloaded as I left. Looked very good.
