Has anyone bought prune plums yet this season in Greater Boston, and if so, where?
Market Basket in Chelsea has them for $1.49/lb. But today they were only available in tray packs.
They had some at Stop and Shop in Reading last weekend - can't recall the price per pound but they were loose.
Baza in Newton had them a week and a half ago when I was last in there. I also don't remember the price, but their produce is usually quite reasonable.
I bought some at the Copely farmer's market last Friday. I don't remember the name of the farm, but their stand faces Boylston St., near the Dartmouth-Boylston corner.
We got some from the Brookline farmers market last week.
Yes, Dick's had them at Brookline last week.
Bazaar on Beacon Street in Brookline had them today, 1.89 a pound, and fresh figs were being unloaded as I left. Looked very good.
