NYC's Best Sushi/Sashimi Restaurants

  • 3

Lots of threads have discussed what is the “best” sushi restaurant in NYC. This post is a little different. We are interested in a comprehensive list of sushi restaurants in NYC that would qualify as truly fine in quality. The reason is that, long-term, our website will feature reviews and high-resolution photography of every restaurant in NYC that we consider to be truly first-rate (probably ~250). In the interim, we’ll be launching with the first 100 restaurants in a couple of months, but we want to ensure that we adequately cover the field for sushi, which can often dredge up some less familiar names. Are there any restaurants that you think ought to be added to the list below that serve sushi or sashimi and that should be considered for inclusion? We’re looking for an objective evaluation of quality irrespective of price and please note that this is a list of restaurants that ought to be tried and considered for inclusion, not a definitive list of restaurants that we think are truly fine in quality.
