Saporitalia (Notting Hill, London)

Very fine pizza on the Portobello Rd.

Crisp bases with a good tear and a superior tomato sauce. The capricciosa was excellent and generous in both size and quality of ingredients. The caprese salad was nothing to write home about, but a fine rendition. The tomato and red onion salad was a little overly acidic, but fine also.

The real star here is the pizza, I'd rate it higher than Franco Manca (less bready and more considered) and therefore probably my current London favourite.

Stumbled across this place last month. Agree that the pizza is very good. Service was rushed and the waiter didn't speak particularly good English. Calamari was tough. Stick to pizza, and all should be fine.

Forgot to say. The main room at the back has terrible acoustics / heat problems. Stick the front if booking or better yet one of the two tables out front.
