The Garbardine - what to get?
I have pretty much enjoyed everything that I've tried at Gabardine. Always consider the daily specials which are often seafood based. The burger is one of the best in the city although it is huge! The black cod is wonderful but know many people feel they undercook it (I don't ... it is always just betond rare). The bahn mi with pork is sweet and crunchy and far too much to eat in one sitting (after a soup :)). One of my friends almost always has the special risotto (vegetarian) or the mac and cheese which he loves each time.
The side salad and the potato salad that accompanies many of the dishes are very well done but are often over shadowed but the other comfort dishes.
The rabbit rillette is a great starter to share as are the beer cheese croquettes.
Unfortunately I'm not much help because I like so many of the dishes on their menu. I make a point of arriving before 11:30 to ensure I get in ... they start turning people away at 11:45.
