EVOO and Restaurant Week: How to do it right
Last year because EVOO did such a stellar job during restaurant week, offering its regular menu without stinting on quality, choice, or quantity, it became one of my favorite "date" night places (the restaurants we go to when we're willing to drop something other than small change so to speak). It is the only restaurant that has ever won my heart and my business because I tried it during restaurant week. So we went again and brought new friends, hoping to win a few more permanent paying customers for this place. Knocked it out of the park again. My friend is still talking about the smoked rabbit confit and the stellar blue fish and his chocolate truffle cake with smoked marshmallow. None of us can imagine the restaurant made any money on this but I'm hoping it will make customers, as it did with us. I have crossed restaurants I used to like off my list after they mailed in their restaurant week menus. Here's one who goes to the head of the class.
