Desperately Seeking Great Chinese Restaurant
Hi everyone!
I am a Seattle-ite and in desperate need of your help...my Mom's birthday is coming up in Oct and I am in search of a good Chinese restaurant that serves her absolute favorite (and sadly, hard to find) Almond Chicken Chow Mein...with CRUNCHY noodles, not lo-mein. All of the good Chinese restaurants (that we know of) near us have closed in recent years. I have been to Louie's in Ballard years ago, but unsure if it's still any good and whether they even make the chow mein with crunchy noodles. We have been to Zen Garden in Mill Creek and were not impressed at all. We are in the Lake City area, so somewhere within about 10-15 miles (and not too pricey) would be preferable. Hoping to find somewhere that can accommodate a group of 25-35 people for a small surprise party.

If you mean the crunchy noodles like the one in the photo then a great place will be very hard to find. But if that is her favorite dish then Four Seas or Tai Tung would be the place to go and order Subgum Chicken Chow Mien with crunchy noodles. They aren't as good as they used to be but they do have that style of chow mien and they can do large groups.
