Bega or Red Feather Canned Cheese
When my sister and I took my mom to London for the first time, I asked her what she wanted to eat and the only thing she really, really wanted was to find this canned cheese her father used to bring her when she was a kid. He worked for the British navy (I think) and would frequently bring home little treats like that for his kids, and my aunts and uncle remember it, too. But I couldn't find this cheese in London, and an Internet search revealed that there is a canned cheese that comes out of Australia called Bega (or another variety called Red Feather). Has anyone tried it? Does anyone know where I can pick up a couple of cans in NYC?
