Help! Last Minute Anniversary Dinner Recommendations in the west 40s, 50s or 60s?

Hi, Chowhounders,

I need to plan a last minute dinner for my second anniversary on Wednesday (gulp).
Do you have any recommendations for a romantic, but fun restaurant in the West 40s (upper 30s), 50s, or 60s to try?

We would need to go to dinner on the early side (6PM) - and I'm willing to spend up to $100 per person. I'd be open to any type of food except Asian. We could even do tapas as well.
I'm drawing a blank....

Got any suggestions?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Lindsay

Can you give an example of a restaurant you consider to be romantic and fun?

Hi, all. I'm thinking not stuff, someplace where we can talk, and that has a little bit of energy. I went to Apizz in the lower east side recently and loved it.

If you want tapas, go to Txikito, but it's below the area where you want to be. I don't know what "romantic but fun" means for you. Perhaps slightly informal? I'm not sure if I have a useful recommendation for you, but if this post helps you refine your question and gain you better suggestions, I will have been successful in my quest. :-)
