Recommendation please for really good gnocchi or fresh pasta, Thursday lunch

Can anyone recommend a place to get good gnocchi or pasta for lunch this upcoming Thursday, somewhere between the high 20s and the low 50s. It doesn't matter east side or west side. Would also be nice if the place served good fish, but it's not as necessary as the good carbs. Price no object, but dress needs to be casual.

Thanks!

Take a look at Ai Fiori menu. May be more "Smart Casual' due to business crowd, though last two weeks of August should be less so.

I'll be with somebody who only packed short sleeved shirts for his august trip to NYC. Think we can get away with lunch at Ai Fiori?

Topping to see if anyone has advice about the flexibility of the dress code at Ai Fiori for lunch in August. Sandals ok for women? Short sleeves on men?

Also, any thoughts on Rossini's or Asellina in case Ai Fiore really doesn't want us there? I realize they are not in the same league, but wondering if the pasta is at least good. Rossini has gnocchi on its menu.

Call them if you're in doubt. But yes, I think you'll be OK, though possibly a bit chilly.

Will do. I think the guy is really warm-blooded.. I'll bring along a pashmina. Thank you.

It's a great restaurant. I hope you go, and if you do, get the fantastic cocktail they make with bourbon.

Thanks for the tip, but I've got a doctor's appointment that will prevent me. Alas!

I've been there for weekday lunch with plenty of tables available. Are you trying only on OpenTable? Try calling, there may be a configuration errors. Or they may not take reservations for lunch. Or maybe they are closed for a summer break.

I'll call tomorrow, but your guess that it might be a summer closure is probably the right one. Open Table offered me, as my next choice, Aug 25.
