American Fish

My spouse and I are headed to LV at the end of Sept. I have been looking at the boards and I see quite a bit on steakhouses but not much in the way of fish/seafood. I have looked at American Fish and was wondering if that was good place to start or is there something out there that I might be overlooking!?! Also would love some input on Central/South American places near The Strip! Thanks!

  1. I have eaten at quite a few Michael Mina's restaurants from OC to SF to Vegas and while he is not one of my favorite chefs he does do seafood pretty well. Personally I would go to Nob Hill at the MGM and have the Maine lobster pot pie. it is a signature dish of his and pretty damn good.

Also RM Seafood, Joe's Seafood Prime Steak & Stone Crab (mainly for the crab though), Bartolotta...but expect to drop cash.

I did a little research for you but no personal exp. at these places for South American.
Nicaragua Kitchen, MI Peru South American Restaurant , I Love Arepas . I'm lucky enough to have a peruvien chicken place open near me in Oceanside...so good..

Do a little search on those places and places others recommend and you'll be fine.....and please post back about where you went and what you had:)

    1. American Fish has been consistently good when we have dined there as has RM Seafood. Estiatorio Milos in the Cosmo is also a nice seafood place and they are offering a three course lunch for $20.12; a good deal.

Mi Peru is in Henderson which is a +/- 20 minute drive from the south end of the strip. Have eaten lunch there and it was very good. Note: Portions were large. Haven't been to any of the other Central/South American places mentioned.

      1. Sorry, this may be a silly question, but does anybody know if the Happy Hour/Lounge menu ( http://www.arialasvegas.com/files/din... ) is only available at the bar or lounge area? Or do they make exceptions if you want to have dinner as well?
