Houston Restaurant Weeks 2012

So how's it going out there? Despite my rant of last year about the quality of the offerings, I have given it a go this year and had some great lunches at Bird and Bear and at Tony Mandola's. I see from brucesw's blog that he's been stepping out to some of the participating restaurants, but which ones? Do any of you have any recs (especially for lunch) before time runs out?

Haven't been as active this year.. Went to kiran's for a thali lunch. Also, first time experience at Ouisi's on san Felipe for a crabcake app meatloaf entree pwr lunch. I really enjoyed, esp the open dining room!

Sorry to report I had an accident and the insurance co. totaled my car. I've been sticking close to home, eating in and actually hitting fast food places in the press for time as I do battle with the automotive industry for a replacement. The accident didn't kill me but this junk food might!

I hope to do a little catching up but the budget's pretty tight this month so I won't be hitting as many as I hoped. Tony Mandola's is one of the one's I really want to hit.

I read last week I think that it's being extended thru Labor Day, though, so that gives us a little more time.
