Late(ish) dining in Kirkland

We are taking a friend out whom we will be driving from an event in Lake Forest Park to the Heathman in Kirkland. We won't get done in LFP till around 9, and we don't want a long meal, so Cafe Juanita is probably out. Trellis is a possibility, but their online menus are illegible! Because of logistics we want to find a place no more than a mile or so off our route. Asian would be great, but I'm open to anything.

Rikki Rikki has a late night happy hour with sushi specials. You might call ahead, though. Last time we went at 10pm and they had closed the kitchen already.

Wilde Rover is open late. Depending on the day of the week there will be a $5 cover charge because of the live music. If you don't want to deal with the music, ask to be seated outside in the back patio.

Trellis would be my choice. When you open their menu online with adobe, there should be a box at the top that allows you to enlarge the menu. Often it's in terms of percentage. Enlarge to 75% or so and it should be completely readable.

Didn't think about it earlier and I haven't been there yet, but Two Twelve Central may stay open serving small plates. Check out their website. Good reviews on Yelp.

Trellis is probably the best for farm to table freshness. Lucia in Kirkland Parkplace (three blocks from the Heathman) serves late and has good ambiance - mixed reviews on the food. Purple (across the driveway from Lucia) is okay. The latest rez they take is 9:00 p.m. If you can hustle your guest out of LFP a little earlier Lynn's Bistro would be terrific as well.

She is an author doing a book signing, so unless nobody shows (which has happened on my book events but never, ever hers), we can't hustle. Do you know if there is a bar at Trellis? Would appetizers/small plates work there? We aren't looking for a big meal, and I can't tell anything from their website.
