Hot chocolate mix containers suggestions?

laethia Aug 19, 2012 11:28 PM

Hi everyone, I can't wait for fall! Looking forward to making some salted caramel hot chocolate mix and shipping it to relatives for football season. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what containers to use? Ideally plastic or other lightweight material, more affordable than those nice airtight canisters, and prettier than gladware stuff? Thanks in advance,

I have put certain mixes in this kind of packaging: it I'll look like a gingerbread house or a cottage. place mix in ziplock bag and then into a brown paper lunch bag. Carefully fold over the top several time and staple.Cut a piece of construction paper so that when it is folded in half it makes the roof. Cut out of paper or draw on windows and doors. Depending on how elaborate you want to get you can add stickers for candy or little flowers for a trailing vine or a thousand different things to make it look realistic. Always looks good though, even when simple, and it's definitely lightweight.
