Country Style Pork Ribs

I would love a good NON-BBQ slow cooker recipe for country style pork ribs. Please no sauerkraut as my partner hates it.

You could do Asian style. Hoisin, black bean, soy and xiaoshing rice wine. And cook according to todao's instructions.

By "non-bbq" do you mean you don't want any bbq sauce included or just that you don't want to have to use the grill for any portion of the cooking?

          OK .....
Brown the ribs evenly (in either a 400 degree oven for about 15 - 20 minutes or a skillet) and drain the fat away. Combine some tomato sauce(about 1/2 cup) with a little soy sauce, (about 1 ounce +/-) minced onion, some minced ginger, lemon juice and a splash of your favorite steak sauce to taste. Put the ribs in the crock pot, pour the sauce over the ribs and cook covered on low for 6 - 8 hours. Four or five pounds of ribs using about 3/4 cup of the combined liquid ingredients works out about right. Sorry I don't have a step by step recipe but I don't often use them; this one is play it by ear. You can replace the lemon juice with some red wine or use both ....
