Three great dinners in the Napa Valley?

It's been a while since we've been to the Napa Valley, and wondering if there are any great new spots that we should try. In the past, we've always enjoyed Mustard's for lunch, and for dinner our faves have been Redd and Press (we love great steaks). We like American, French or Italian cuisine (we get plenty of good Asian food at home), and aside from food like nice ambiance (not too noisy!) and good service. We really miss the departed Martini House...had been a don't miss for us. Where would you go now for 3 great dinners...food, service and ambiance! (One of us is a picky eater, so Ad Hoc is out...and although cost is not a huge concern, we really don't want to spend the bucks at French Laundry)

If you liked Martini House you should go to Kitchen Door in the Oxbow Market it's Todd Humphries new restaurant. It's more casual but still good. Big yes on Oenetri and Zuzu.

Disagree about Kitchen Door; consistently over-salted foods and mediocre offerings considering Humphries' history.

Not less than four times, I have had friends insist on eating there and each time I've had to return foods that were inedibly salty.

I like the mushroom pizza though, but could get that at Pizza Azzuro and know it will be okay.

      Oenetri for Italian
      Zuzu for Tapas
Grace's Table for wholesome goodness at a great price
      Brassicas for Cal-Mediterranean
      Pere Jeanty for French
      Cook for intimate, small exceptional

It appears that Pere Jeanty has closed. Although Bistro Jeanty does have good food, the ambiance is not what we are looking for...it is uncomfortable, deafeningly loud at times, and with service that is variable, and generally mediocre. We definitely want something nicer.

Nicer would be Meadowood - or the Farm at Carneros.
