Gathering spot for mini-reunion.......
I am going to be living in NYC for the month of October.
During that time I will be getting together with about 15 high school friends for a mini-reunion.
We would like to find a place that is in Manhatten that would allow us to gather in a semi-private way and order drinks (5:00-6:30) and then order off the menu. We are all coming from various parts of the metropolitan area so we are not far but no one really knows what it available, delightful and does not cost an arm and a leg. Any tips?????

It may be vulgar, but this is Manhattan, and therefore one must ask what the going rate for arms and legs might be in your part of the country. 'Semi-private' suggests you wouldn't mind a private dining room? Also: any preferences / aversions regarding cuisine?
