How was it? food/ experience???

Good value for money??

I'm not sure this is what you mean, but I've gone on many, many walking tours of every major city I've lived in; more often than not led by a chef of local repute who knew where to seek out the goods. Marvelous experience, but definitely not connected to a church or charity of any kind. For your questions on apportionment of funds collected, you should contact the website of the place you're talking about - it should be listed there, or you should be given information about a contact that can answer your questions. The tours I participated in were excellent value for the money, and generally stops were taken along the way at restaurants that I'd otherwise know nothing about. Fantastic experiences, all.
