ISO fancy, special occasion, Saturday morning breakfast spot

The Oracle Aug 17, 2012 03:36 PM

Can someone point me in the direction of a fancy, breakfast spot for a Saturday morning (around 9am). It's for a very special occasion and I'm blanking. A regular favorite is Julienne's in San Marino - so, something along those lines, but not there, since it's become commonplace.

Do any hotels do a good Saturday breakfast? I'm guessing that will be the closest to the feel I'm going for. I'd head to The Terrace at the Langham in Pasadena, but I was less than pleased with their service on my last visit.

I'm looking for top-notch service, polished presentation and environs, good food, etc.

I'm open to it being anywhere in Los Angeles County.

Thanks in advance!

On another thread discussing breakfast in and around L.A. Ash123 put up this link to what looks to be a good, top end breakfast list: http://www.lamag.com/features/story.a...

How about the patio at the Polo Lounge?

Trump National Golf Course in Palos Verdes. I have not tried their Saturday breakfast, but their Sunday brunch is very good but pricey
