Chow-Child Needs Your Help: Sunday or Monday Dinner

Hi Chowhounds,

I am going to be in Paris with my 8 year old son on Sunday and Monday night and I need help. My usual places like Le Regalade, L'Ami Jean and Chez Denise all seem closed for the August holidays. My son is a serious lover of food as am I and I want his first meal alone with me in Paris to be a memorable one.

Any suggestions (I know that this is last minute) but please help the little Chow children ;-).

but for an 8 yo I think the Café Constant & Les Cocottes would be great. Even though they're both Constant-directed, they're quite different. As was mentioned elsewhere, you need to arrive early (Paris dining time) to get a table, esp at the CC.

I go to lunch at 12 noon on the dot; I'd telephone to see when evening service begins (I only eat out at lunch).
