Franco American aka Mezzaluna Bakery, Santa Rosa

This is one of the few remaining independent old-school bakeries. Same family since 1900. Sourdough is like I grew up on. Apparently widely available in rhe North Bay, I came across it in Safeway.

Do you mean like Parisian and Larraburu in SF?

Many of Sonoma County's delis and sandwich shops use the breads. The sweet french roll has nice chewy crumb and good yeasty aroma and flavor. Hamburger buns and Dutch crunch rolls are good too.
