Casual dinner around West Village tonight

Going out with another couple tonight for dinner and wine, just catching up. Not looking for anything too fancy but we all appreciate good food. Hoping to make a reservation around 7:30 (I know, last minute!)

I'd feel like a good organizer if I picked a place with avg entrees between 15-25.

Any suggestions?

Recette has availability tonight for 4 people on OpenTable. They are a small plates restaurant but the portion sizes are more on the generous size. Their menu is in order of portion size. The dishes at the bottom are around your price range for an entree.

Joseph Leonard doesn't take reservations. You'll probably have a bit of a wait. It's a pretty small place.

At Perla, they take a limited number of tables for parties of four via phone only. Call ASAP to see if they still have availability.

Little Owl will probably be full up / have a long wait.

Blue Ribbon Bakery doesn't take reservations for parties of 4, and might have a bit of a wait. Hopefully the wait isn't too bad. They do have a wine bar across the street.

Fatty Cue isn't showing anything on OpenTable right now, but I believe they hold a good number of tables for walk-ins. Hopefully the wait isn't too long. They have a very good cocktail program, if you like a cocktail while you wait.
