Late night Friday dining recs in Evanston area

Heading up from St. Louis today for a whirlwind trip to hear a friend in a show at Light Opera Works. Probably won't have time for dinner until after, around 11:15 or 11:30 pm. Open to any recs in that area, maybe prefer not a loud bar scene, but any price/genre is fine.
Thanks!

Late in Evanston on a Friday or Saturday night is 10-11. Pete Miller's is a steakhouse that's been an Evanston landmark for quite some time. Food is good, not exceptional, but they're open late. As a warning, they have live jazz in front and it can get loud, sit at the bar or get a table farther back to avoid the music.

Clarke's Diner is open till 2 a.m. The food is only so-so, but there's not much else open in Evanston after 11 p.m.

        True.

Tommy Nevins Pub is one other possibility; they serve dinner till midnight on Friday/Saturday nights. (The bar is open even later than that.) www.tommynevins.com

          Nevins has a good burger.

Agreed. You should try Nevins first and see if the kitchen is still serving.

Ended up at Pete Miller's, it was literally a few thousand feet from the theater. Pleasant space, and food was acceptable, too bad I was stuck next to obnoxious foul-mouthed twenty-somethings. Jazz was unobtrusive and crowds minimal by the time I got there after 11.
