Albuquerque Layover Reqs Please
Hi all,
I have a layover in Albuquerque this week. One plane lands at 2:45pm the next leaves at 6:45pm. I am wondering if that time frame will allow for me to leave the airport to grab a bite to eat nearby and if so, what might be a good place to get some New Mexican eats? I would love to grab a cab to Mary and Tito's but would imagine that at that time of the day, traffic might not allow this to happen especially on the return to the airport part of the trip.
Thanks for any advice!

Hi and welcome in advance!
The Sunport is a really easy airport, so getting in/out of security won't be a big deal, and 4 hours is ample to get away for some green chile, NM's signature ingredient.
Google Maps tells me that Mary & Titos is 7 miles/11 minutes away from the Sunport. Rush hour isn't a total non-issue in ABQ, but it's not like it is in some larger cities, so even if you allow 30 minutes each way, you've still got ample time. You'll probably pay twice as much in cab fare as you will in food costs, but that's nothing if not a chowish priority sentiment.
Other tasty ideas, closer than M&T's:
I love Pupusería y Restaurante Salvadoreño, and it's right by the airport. Love, love, love that they make a green chile pupusa. No frills, but no arguing with the deliciousness.
Also: the Grove (closes at 4 on weekdays), anything on Nob Hill (Frontier, Zacatecas Tacos), Little Red Hamburger Hut, Giovanni's Pizza (very good NY-style pizza, get it with...wait for it...green chile).
