Suggestions for spices for a grape cake

I'm going to make a buttermilk loaf cake and add champagne grapes (using things up before a trip). Does anyone have suggestions or herbs or spices to add? I have a well stocked spice cabinet as well as most herbs in my garden. Thanks for any suggestions!

i don't think you can go wrong with basil or rosemary, as suggested.

but, i'd also like to throw in a nod for cardamom.
and depending upon exactly what you're doing, garam masala.

I always like fresh rosemary with grape cakes or focaccia. Not a lot, just enough, finely chopped.

How about cinnamon, nutmeg & allspice? For myself, i'd also add some cayenne or some other hot pepper & black pepper, but I realize that wouldn't appeal to a lot of people.

My TCW would be mint, or basil.
