Pork Fried Rice

I am looking for a particular style of pork fried rice in the Mesa/Tempe/Scottsdale area. The style I grew up on in Minneapolis included pork, rice, egg, scallions and sprouts. No carrots or peas welcome!

I found what I was looking for at a State Fair booth (Pon's) and P.F. Chang's (where you can ask them not to add carrots). Is anyone aware of any other restaurants that serve this type of pork fried rice?

There's a place on the SWC of Thomas and 32nd called Kim's Dim-sum and Chinese Food. It's really low-brow, takeout / delivery only, but I think they have what you're looking for. Check the Yelp page- there is a picture of the pork fried rice. That was the only dish I liked from there.

You may want to make it yourself -- sounds like it's kind of a regional specialty. Here's one simple recipe I found: http://www.grandparents.com/food-and-...
Personally I wouldn't use canned mushrooms, but suit yourself.

Thanks for the recipe. Just what I'm looking for. The only difference is that she added mushrooms instead of sprouts. I guess when I'm too lazy to cook, I'll still order from PF Changs.

Just go to your Chinese restaurant of choice and tell them to hold the carrots and peas.

Thanks for your response, but it doesn't work that way. Peas and carrots pork fried rice is a whole different animal.
