Saturday 08-18-12, Midtown/Buford Highway recs

I’m staying near Georgia Tech this weekend and I’m looking cheap Asian eats for lunch and a cocktail/dinner recommendation. We recently had a great meal at Tasty China in Marietta and wouldn’t mind finding something similar if available. I’m also interested in a bowl of Chinese noodles and a decent banh mi sandwich.
For dinner we’re looking for more of laid back casual place. No more than $50 pp for drinks and food would be ideal. We’d like to stay in Midtown for dinner, but we do have access to a vehicle if necessary.

Gu's Bistro on Buford Highway right outside the Perimeter (OTP for those of us from the ATL) fits the bill nicely as being similar to Tasty China. I have eaten at both multiple times and while Tasty is damn good, personally, I think Gu's is better and more refined. It isn't quite as punch you in the face with spice and MSG as Tasty is.
For dinner, I would recommend Empire State South, Leons or more of a beer place than dining option, The Brickstore. Decent food, very casual and laid back and has around 400+ beers to choose from.
