Romantic restaurant in lido beach/Sarasota area?

Hi I'm looking for a nice romantic restaurant in lido beach or Sarasota area. Also any other good restaurants in that area. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Maison Blanche...really great
Euphemia Hay as well but ......Beach Bistro is better than Euphemia Hay.

Beach Bistro is often mentioned as the best restaurant in Florida, not just SW Florida.

I think the food at Beach Bistro is exceptionally good ( maybe the best single dish I have ever eaten was there) but I just don't see it as being particularly romantic.

I need a little more elbow room to do some romancing. : )

My first pick would be Maison Blanche.

Lido Beach Hotel has a very romantic bar on the top floor, but skip the restaurant. Beach Bistro is about 35 minutes from St. Armands Circle, but it is the best in Sarasota. Darwins on 4th is very good and romantic so I suggest to check-it-out.
Cafe L'Europe in St Armands Circle is excellent but not very romantic, but you will enjoy the food as well as people watching.

Without a doubt, the Beach Bistro is the place - its just up the road on Anna Maria
