Jamaican in Cape Neddick

For anyone driving through Ogunquit on Route 1 or staying in Ogunquit and looking for good cheap(ish) eats: check out the Jamaican Jerk Center in Cape Neddick. It's about halfway in between Stonewall Kitchen and Ogunquit Center (not far from Flo's). The beef patties are beyond terrific, they always have "local" (as in Jamaica) juices (try the sorrel) and Ting, the oxtail, the jerk chicken and the plantains are super good. Tastes like a road stand in Kingston. Always surprised by the lack of patrons - it certainly beats about 90% of the food up the road in OGT!

  1. Thanks, I've always been too leary to stop and try it since there never seems to be anyone there. Sometimes I can't even tell if it's open or closed.

The website says daily 11 to 9 pm. Don't miss the sorrel if you go!

    2. I love that place! Haven't been in a couple of years, but you describe it well.
