New in Wakefield/Wake Forest?

I need to be in WF for a few evening hours this week and was wondering if there is any new and/or interesting restaurant that I should check out.

I just read today that the folks who operate the Bulkogi Korean BBQ truck are opening their brick and mortar location in Wake Forest this Saturday, August 18th. The address is 927 Durham Road.

Yup, just saw that, too. That takes care of lunch after the kid's guitar lesson on Saturday. Still looking for Friday dinner, though. But, if I'm lucky, the kid may cancel her Friday night plans so that I don't have to go out. School can't start soon enough to suit me.

Girasole is solid not spectacular but probably the best overall experience in Wake Forest. Next to that is the Fire Pit which is pretty much the same as the Q Shack. Brunos in Wakefield area is the nicest in the area and food is good. The newest option is the Fig Wine Bar on South Main Street close to the 98 bypass. Heard it is pretty good, limited menu might be a good chance to share a review here.
