Here's one I learned about today that has me really excited: 100 Monteditos, a chain from Spain specializing in small sandwiches (monteditos), with 100 different varieties, all priced between $1 and $3. It's a clever variation on the tapas trend, and I can't wait to try them since I LOVE sandwiches (especially with cured meats).
They're actually opening in Waterford Lakes, which was a bit of a surprise, but I can see UCF students going nuts over cheap, tiny sandwiches and lots of beer. They already have a few locations open in Miami -- has anyone had a chance to try them yet?

re: pdpredtide
Never heard of it, but the photo on the website looks so familiar! Was it a different place a few years ago, maybe with simple wraps and salads?

The new Peach Valley Cafe opening on Orange Ave and Michigan is pretty exciting in my book!
Also Tampa chain Burger 21 is heading to the Millenia area- slated for next year though. I haven't tried them yet personally but it's owned by the same parent company as The Melting Pot (which I happen to work for) so of course all I've heard are positive things.
Oh and the very first thing I thought of when I saw that Bosphorous was taking over Anatolia was "wonder what the folks on chowhound have to say about that". Glad I had a chance to try both but I always preferred Bosphorous so an additional location in a more convenient spot is great news to me. -
Awesome! Thank you. Looks like a lot of things going on in Restaurant row!
I did hear from Scott Joseph that Anatolia is going to turn into Bosphorous to reflect the new ownership. I'm just not sure when that is happening.
Also just open is Bloodhound Brew Pub & Eatery on conroy near kirkman.

I should note that BurgerFi opened recently on Park Avenue and Fairbanks in Winter Park, and it is awesome. Better than Five Guys and Boardwalk Burgers and Fries, although I still don't like it quite as much as Fuddrucker's. They definitely make a great burger, with several different options, including an In 'n' Out-style "secret menu" with their own version of "Animal Style," and you can get quinoa burgers instead of beef if you want.
BurgerFi also has some of the best onion rings I've ever had, frozen custard "concretes" like Shake Shack, and one of those Coke Freestyle machines that can pour hundreds of different flavors of sugar-water.
