Recommendations Sought for Brisket/BBQ in Dallas Area
Hi:
I'll be coming to Dallas for the first time in 2 weeks. I'm staying in Irving. I'd really appreciate dinner recommendations for top notch BBQ, and most importantly brisket (and to a lesser extent, texas sausage). I don't mind driving 15-20 minutes. I just want the best brisket.
Thanks.

The only two I would recommend with a clear conscience are, (1) Pecan Lodge in Shed 2 at the Dallas Farmers Market (open Thur-Sun 11AM until they're sold out). Ask for the "fatty brisket". Their pulled pork and ribs are excellent, too! Their sausage is underwhelming.
And (2) Lockhart Smokehouse (good Texas atmosphere) at the corner of W. Davis Street and Bishop in Oak Cliff. Very good and, open every day. Excellent fatty brisket and great sausage!
