Anyone have experience with "The Exotic Kitchens of Malaysia" by C. Marks, DIF Books (1997)?

I was given this cookbook after expressing an interest in Malaysian cuisine. Has anyone used it and can you recommend recipes from it to start with or recipes you particularly enjoyed?

I have it, but haven't cooked much from it. Although you don't hear much about him these days Copeland Marks was something of a pioneer in seeking out unusual cuisines to study. His books are generally very good, particularly his "Sephardic Cooking."
